David Reiter is a multi-award-winning author, and CEO at IP, an innovative Brisbane independent publisher. Recent titles are the digital narrative Timelord Dreaming, which won the 2016 Western Australian Premier’s Award, the multi-channel work and Western Australian Premier’s Award Winner (2012), My Plants Reunion Memoir, the 3rd edition of Your eBook Survival Kit, the children’s novel Tiger Takes the Big Apple, children’s picture book, Bringing Down the Wall, and the adult novel Primary Instinct.
Timelord Dreaming is a hybrid work incorporating “tweetems” – a cross between tweets and Japanese compressed poetic forms – with Internet call-outs. His latest work, the satiric novel about the publishing industry, Black Books Publishing came out in March, 2018.
David has been writer-in-residence at Bundanon (the Arthur Boyd property), in New Zealand at the Michael King Centre and twice at the Banff Centre for the Arts (Canada) with the support of the Australia Council and the Cultural Fund of the Copyright Agency.
David gives talks and workshops here and overseas on the application of digital media in the composing and publishing of innovative works. The My Planets Reunion Memoir has been archived in the National Library of Australia’s Pandora Project.
